Max Verstappen will be starting in the first position for the Japanese Grand Prix because he did really well in the qualifying round at Suzuka.
Next to him on the first row is Oscar Piastri from McLaren. He just barely did better than his teammate Lando Norris in the qualifying round, but Max Verstappen was much faster.
Sergio Perez is starting in fourth place on the grid. Red Bull wants to win the Constructors’ title, and they need to score one more point than Mercedes to do it. They also want to make sure Ferrari doesn’t get more than 23 points than them.
